Now that I'm being careful with my eating habits, I usually make a sandwich on a tortilla... the smaller whole wheat ones by Dempsters.

And, my current favourite is. a thin smear of mayo, some thinly sliced cucumber (English), with black freshly ground pepper on the cuke, and some thinly sliced 6 year old white cheddar.

MY GW is into Peanut Butter and Bacon, but both those ingredients are on my "very seldom" list because of high fats content.

I'd be happy to hear some sandwich recipes from you folks, particularly low caloric..

Wild Caught Salmon with a dill sauce on a corn tortilla

Remember corn is better than wheat

PB & J with a cold glass of milk is the all-time favourite.
A quality Reuben is steadily gaining ground. Neither of which I would put on a healthy sandwich list.

Multi Grain misnomer to confuse the consumer.

Flax is a fibrous plant

Millet is not a grain

Sunflower seeds are not grains

Sesame not a grain.

Triticale is a hybrid wheat/rice

12 Grain is just a way to increase profits.

Toast dark rye bread.

Grill chicken breast, while warm add low fat Asiago cheese. Then lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, Roasted peppers and sundried tomatoes.

Use Miracle whip instead of mayo. Cut it into 4 pieces like a club sandwich and drool while you are eating it.

Veal sandwich from California Sandwiches. Add hot peppers, sauteed onions mushrooms and pecorino.

Always a winner

Roast Beef on Weck

The roll is is kaiser roll with caraway seeds and Kosher Salt.
Normally topped with Horseradish.

My go-to sandwich is tomato, (strong) cheddar, and avocado. Toasted. Whole wheat of course.

Love a good Reuben and make a mean egg salad. :)

Or in the summertime: tomato, mozzarella and basil open face slightly toasted....so perky.
