Help a brother out - anitvirus protection

Awhile ago a few of you mentioned free antivirus protection. What are the most reliable yet do not compromise performance. I am tired of Norton's product. It is expensive and slows my computer down to a snails pace. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks !

i personally use avg

and antivir

both can be found at www.downloads.com

I have made this suggestion before. But Norton is the worst. It kills your PC's performance.

My personal favors are NOD32 and Avast pro.

I use NOD32 too. It is very light and strong protection.

I find Avira works pretty good.
