Was on my way to try out a new sp while in town on business. Location was at the comfort inn and was just about to walk past the desk clerk when I realized they were being visited by police investigating sp's using the hotel. I think Barrie is getting too hot for hotel use so they are checking it out. Nevertheless did not want any part of that so I went back to T.O where I think things are more safe. Good luck guys best to keep to a private sp in town here I think.

No offense, but how would you know that the police were investigating SP's using the hotel if you were "just about to walk past the desk clerk"?

Sorry but this sounds a little fishy to me. The alleged sex industry in the city of barrie is not even on the radar screen as far as the police is concerned. The primary focus for the police has been to 'clean up' the downtown area. As for the local horn dogs wanting to score at the local hotels, don't worry. If there was a major crackdown on the sex industry why would they not start with the rub and tug shops that have been operating for years without incident. Before everyone jumps on that band wagon the only places that have been targeted and shut down were charged and convicted of selling controlled substances. Happy hobbying in the little town of Barrie.

It is on the radar for police when it's reported. Sometimes the hotels call them when they suspect something. Last spring I went to see a lovely young blonde who told me that she and her friends were escorted out of a Barrie hotel by police after the hotel realized what they were up to. There weren't any charges and they just went to a different hotel. The cops might not care but some of the hotels/motels do.

The police are have to respond to all calls for service. Charges were not laid by the police because there was no evidence to do so. The hotel/motel management may want to curtail said business. The police will not charge a person for visiting a room for a period of time for a unspecified reason. They can 'suspect' unwelcome activity all they want but unless they can PROVE illegal activity they are at a loss. Just sayin'

Thanks Jimmy will take your word anytime trust your knowledge on this subject.

No matter what City you are in, Barrie, Toronto Montreal, this is an issue all Hobbyiests fear. It's good to be aware of the possibility that this could happen. It also says something about the SP's ability to be discreet. Maybe she was leaving the guys in the hall too long. I know that uncomfortable feeling of standing outside a door while the maid looks at you suspiciously. Also this is why you never mention the hotel specifically in a review or even the intersection. It draws attention to the location. Thanks for the thread Duke.
