Must have been hard for the kid living under the scrutiny caused by his dad.

I can't say I feel sorry for him because I am sure he knew what was going on and has enjoyed the luxuries afforded to him through his fathers criminal activities.

No empathy here! Madoff and his family screwed over alot of people.

I do not think that the son should pay for his father's crime.
The man killing himself to me leaves a whole in the son family.
Also it somebody comes to you and say you give me your life savings and I will double or triple it well these people should have thought about this.
If my brother even said that I would question him. Everybody even the government played a roll.
I don't think the death of this man will bring the money back, I feel very sad for the son's family.

Mark Madoff, the elder son of convicted con man Bernard Madoff, committed suicide today on the second anniversary of his father’s arrest. What amazed me was that their 2-year-old son was in the apartment at the time and sleeping in the other room while Mark committed suicide.
