My brother's son failed and not accepted to University next semester.

He kept partying and neglected his homework. Enrolled to Summer School and hope he gets his act together.

Told my bro to keep cool as he is still only 19 and let him find his way.

How many of you actually listened to our Parent's advice on what to do?.

Let him pay for his schooling. He will eventually realize the value of the dollar and how hard it is to gain it.

I did it my way.....
In and out of school but I graduated....Degree...

My son the same thing but he started University at 16...
What am I to say...You need to stay in school......
Guess I should not have told him about my travels....

College isn't the best choice for everyone, especially at today's costs and without guarantee of employment after graduation. Suggest to your brother to have your nephew consider trade school. Learning a skill at less cost than a university education may prove to be more marketable in the long run.

Great advice Transient! Trades pay well and there's always work and the extra cash side jobs are the gravy. University is not for everyone and it does not guarantee a job anymore.

You beat me to it too, Damn! :biggrin2:

I listened to my Parent's advice. But has it dawn on any of you that they were not always right?.

Education occurs in many ways!

If it is because he is lazy then send him to the armed services.

Working for a few years is a good option.

Trades are viable options and pay well depending on the trade.

Then there is always the question, would you like a donut with your double double?
