Take One For The Team...? What "Team"?

I'm not going to make many fans for this post, but I need to rant a little.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I feel there should be a prerequisite to being able to frequent this message board. It seems that far too many people contribute zero to this website, yet are the one's who ask questions concerning SP's and the reviews written about them.

A prerequisite of one or two reviews a year would go a long way to making this a review board where everyone contributes, like a team should.

Yes, there are few who contribute and most who take ungratefully. Whether on this board or any other social event, that's true. Why should an escort board be any different? I fully support contributions...but most people won't.

The majority of comments following a review are for the most part positive T.A.F.K.A. Prince. There doesn't appear to be an inordinate number of questions following a review that takes away from contributor's submission. Or is this rant directed at the Lobby rats (those of us that do not participate in the pay-for-play arena) in general?

Well I've met my quota :biggrin2:.

Nothing you can do about the lurkers Prince. But do notice that on this site there are more replies to reviews than the other sites. If that is any consolation.

Prince, you would like me to review any sp when I see them....Why
the ones I did review disappeared...Never to be heard of again....:Crying/:

Plus I would only now if the sp asked me.....if or when I see one...

And No I do not have them locked in my basement.....:666:

no, but you do have a steel security door going into the attic and a dead bolt on it. Hmmmmmm

I don't mind them as much. What I don't like is members with zero posts asking me through PM for more details about certain SP.

This is what I'm talking about. Jackson nailed it.

And no, I have no issues with the members that chill in the Lobby chatting amongst themselves. You all seem to be having fun, and that's really great.

It just irks me a little when we have the same couple dozen or so members keeping the Incall/Outcall thread's going, when a site like this has thousands of members.

Most members are lurkers. That's a reality for most internet groups. Another adult board had a mandatory minimum review policy many years ago. I suspect it was dropped because the goal was to build an advertising board. Membership and clickthroughs drive ad revenues, not quantity of reviews (not directly, anyway).

Compared to the red board the ratio is better here though, except for the Asian reviews.

Also a big thanks to the mods for creating ask questions about sp section. It makes the review section much easier to follow.

Just another consideration. In the past I would usually post at least one or two reviews per month. I don't now because I have been seeing the same sex worker for over three months now. Perhaps people don't review as they go see their regulars and there is not much to add.

From a business perspective - the review minimum does not make sense - better to get more lurckers as the more people that use the site means greater advertising revenue.

But I agree with Jackson's comment.. I hate / get peeved when I get pm from individuals that don't contribute. If a pm is from an active member I will give a detailed response. If it is from a member that has joined three years ago and has no reviews - I will give a very brief response which may be minimally helpful.

Agree with the callers here and I also got a couple of PM from lurkers and kept my response to a minimum. I saw a thread started by a member that registered in 2010 has only two posts and one of them is to complaint about an agency. Didn't understand that one.

I am just happy I get replies. My old handle from the other board barely got any. I remember one didn't even get one reply on 500 hits. I felt really lonely and cried myself to sleep :Crying/:

One of the reasons you won't see me posting as much: I don't have anything to contribute, so I won't take your time by fluff. I'll only post if I have something I think will be of value to the community.

I sadly have little time to hobby, but when I do, I'll post a review, or at least add my feedback to someone else's impressions of whom they've seen. But to me a board is more than just about the reviews. We're a community shrouded in discretion, hobbyists and providers, and this medium allows us to bridge the gap established by the boundaries necessary in the industry's environment.

It makes Companions so much more that a slab of meat, and johns so much more than wallets on legs.

As for the odd pm about a girl, meh!
Some people are shy, even in front of the keyboard, some are just starting and prefer to whisper from the shadows. I see it as a pay-it-forward kind of thing.
