“Because it’s not studio-produced porn, [the site] puts women in control of their bodies, and doesn’t reinforce unrealistic body types,” a rep toldBustle. “There’s also a significant transgender presence on Uplust, which I think is really interesting in light of the Instagram controversy.”
The controversy she’s referring to is users’ bodies while allowing cis users to post similar photos.
As it stands, Uplust functions in a similar fashion to Instagram in that users can upload media with which they can then apply a variety of filters.
