In this social experiment, unsuspecting people walked by relatives pretending to be homeless. Would they notice their family members? Or have the homeless become invisible?

It's too common a problem, so we ignore it. Especially the guys begging at traffic lights walking up and down the cars. Trouble is, a lot of those people are just too lazy or undisciplined to get a job and hence don't exactly cause us to feel sympathy.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

No one needs to be, or is forced to live on the streets in 2014. Even those with mental health issues have many options to get off the street. Those that CHOOSE to live on the street should not be the object of our sympathy or pity. They're in fact doing exactly what they want to do, and will fight you tooth and nail if you try to force or even suggest they alter their lifestyle.

Can you have a deeper thought?

Not likely. Just working this one outta my ass gave me a tongue cramp that lasted 4 hours. Can't go through THAT again, that's for damn sure. It'll just be fluff from me going forward. Much safer that way...

If one chooses to live this way it is one thing but as more and more social safety nets get pulled away due to right wing ideology more and more people will fall into the homeless category.

It is my belief that no one growing up aspires to be homeless.

Mental illness and drug addiction are usually key contributors in being homeless.
