Not including College :SayWhat?:.

I have to rethink, think, think hard, think again.

Kids/no kids Hmmmmmm

According to MoneySense.ca, the average cost of raising a child to age 18 is a whopping $243,660. Break down that number, and that’s $12,825 per child, per year -- or $1,070 per month. And that's before you send them off to university.

While money isn’t the only factor when deciding when to have children, it’s still important to consider whether you can afford to raise a child -- and what short-term and long-term sacrifices you might have to make.

Here are some numbers to think about. https://www.canadianliving.com/life/money/how_much_does_it_cost_to_raise_kids_in_canada.php

So this is where all my money is going!!!

Anyone have room for two more kids at their place, anyone???

Easily cost that much just till end of high school, then university and it doesnt stop there. The older they get the bigger the problems the higher the costs. but i still love them all:)

Don't tell me they are still living with you after graduating :-Cool/"

A dog will cost you 1/1000 of that, and ride around in your Porsche 911 with you :biggrin2:

Surprised you didn't work out the math on how much playtime a quarter mil can provide.

To satisfy Art's curiosity $243,660 / $250 (per hour) = 974.64 hours of carnal time spent between consenting adults.

Actually, what piques my curiosity, Transient, is why the good doctor would prefer a dog and a Porsche to "974.64 hours of carnal time spent between consenting adults"

Perhaps he has found that women don't always come when he calls.

Need I say more :biggrin2:

The number is a little light. I pay 1400 a month child support, plus another bunch when I am with her. 300000 sounds closer to right.

Make The Ordinary Come Alive

Do not ask your children
to strive for extraordinary lives.
Such striving may seem admirable,
but it is a way of foolishness.

Help them instead to find the wonder
and the marvel of an ordinary life.
Show them the joy of tasting
tomatoes, apples and pears.

Show them how to cry
when pets and people die.
Show them the infinite pleasure
in the touch of a hand.

And make the ordinary come alive for them.
The extraordinary will take care of itself.

One marries to have kids then spends their extra revenue on working girls to keep the marriage alive.

I can live with that.

Having and raising your own is the best high you can ever have.
