Sometimes you can show someone a photograph of someone you consider to be really hot, and other people react indifferently. It`s not just different standards of beauty, it`s the fact that the still photograph captures only a 1/ 300 fraction of a second, often in a dictated pose, and real life doesn`t work that way. A face which `moves`, ie: expressive eyes, cheek dimples that appear randomly, and spontaneous smiles are signs of real beauty; expressionless, catatonic stares, unrealistically large cheek bones, and expressionless mouths are the currency of haute couture fashion modelling, where a `manequin woman`is used to sell a product.

Now, more than ever before, advertisers tell people what is beautiful, and the young folks just accept that as being the truth. Many of today`s hottest models` aren`t even that hot, even with makeup on; they just have the right publicists.

with little-no-makeup. Chelsea I`ve met, Cara, I wouldn`t want to. Chelsea is the youngest daughter of Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, and half-sister of Liv. In public music performances, she wears no makeup, other than lipstick, `thrift shop clothes`, and she`s completely down to earth.

Cara looks like that `bad hair guy`from One Direction, unadorned, and when shilling Cover Girl cosmetics, looks like a cartoon character designed by Matt Groening. She has attitude, but nothing real to have attitude about.

Who would you rather be with, `the natural`, who doesn`t need `cheating`to be sufficiently good looking to not be self conscious in public, or the average chick, that some shill tells you is beautiful, because she`s the friend of the sister of a friend of someone who did a home made porn tape, who used to be a friend of Paris Hilton ?

I agree that some people can be made to look more beautiful than they are, yet that doesn't mean they're not beautiful. Most people can look "bad" at some point in any day. What we ate/drank, how we slept, stress, skincare/haircare, lighting, angles, etc, all play their parts. Regardless, I will agree advertising sways many to their decisions. Yet as some things, such as good lighting, etc, can make someone look better, bad lighting, etc, can also make someone look worse. My point... many of us are smart enough to take these things into consideration and look beyond them when deeming our attraction towards someone, beauty isn't just about the exterior after all, and we all have flaws.
Most of those ladies I found hot, although I have to omit Taylor Swift, imo, is void of most of what I find attractive in a person. J lo, Scarlette Jo, and Eva, are my faves

The 'everyone is beautiful' mantra makes no sense logically, especially to a child. I once heard a toddler say "Daddy, I don't like beautiful women. They're too fat". I gave him a dollar, and crossed the street, perpendicularly.

I'm not someone who sees a person and then decides on their beauty, there has to be something beyond the physical, sensuality, an aura, something.....and occasionally that something can be seen/felt, through advertising/film, etc, and sometimes that something can only be found through knowing the person, or hearing them speak, etc. Certainly there are some physical traits that will impress me, such as a persons bone structure/height/ eye color....but more than not, it's beyond the physical that draws me near and makes me interested in them and desirous of them

Cristy, with all due respect, your opinion is significantly biased, based on your occupation.

A sane man would be reluctant to pay three bills plus, per hour, for 'inner beauty', while a professional companion would likely be willing to accept that donation, for the same, if the man was respectful, and had good hygiene. In pay for play, eye candy is in the eye of the donator.

Its the 'law of supply and demand'. There are many 'plain Janes' who are intelligent, personable, and reliable, and many of them form long term relationships with average guys who have realistic expectations. Many of those same average guys with unreal expectations pay for play, try to pick up intoxicated women who are in the mood, (and wearing beer goggles), or they rub one out to porn. Someone's inner beauty does not attract a stranger from a distance, or from a photograph. A man rarely choses the least attractive sexual partner available, unless he has accepted a dare, lost a bet, is trying to enter an exclusive fraternal organization, or he is a superstitious baseball player, who has gone hitless for several consecutive games.

There are also a limited number of handsome and fit young men, who attract more than their fair share of attention from the opposite sex, and they tend to prefer either quality, or quantity of sexual partners. If a man is both physically attractive and financially successful, any of a number of women will want to share his company. Such a man is unlikely to select a 'plain Jane', because the supply of plain Janes is large, and the demand is low. There are women who are intelligent, personable, reliable, and physically attractive, who would be receptive to his advances. He can do better; a man of more modest means probably could not.

When a man introduces a woman to his friends, he wants them to say "Dude!!!", not "dude...". People will judge him by the company he keeps. If Chris Hemsworth:

No @flash, you are sounding bias and judgemental based on your observation of my lifestyle and assumptions of others.....We, companions, are not all alike, nor do we all think the same, and there are plenty of men who are sapiosexual. You make the assumption that simply because someone offers money, that as a "paid companion" I'll accept, I do get to choose you know... and there are also an awful lot of men who are picky and select their companion based on traits that also surpass the physical. Neither you or I truly knows why any escort/s does well. I can assure you however, none survive solely based on looks alone, nor will every thick walleted, or even thickly endowed men, be welcomed by every companion. Some of us are human, after all, lol.

@ Cristy: Sometimes I express my own opinion, other times I express valid opinions no one else has the balls to say out loud, called 'playing Devil's advocate'. Often what I write is a combination of both. Nobody should believe everything they read. They should form their own opinions, based on 'pro and con' positions about the same subject, rather than just 'parroting back' what they have been told is true.

Case in point: I often make jokes about 'fat chicks'. Some people will assume that I only like thin women. In reality, I never defined what I consider to be "fat".

I find the term BBW to be offensive, because it says "There are two types of women, thin, and 'big beautiful woman', which presents the image that any woman who is not thin is part of a group which includes healthy body types, and the morbidly obese, so as not to exclude the enormous. This gives exclusivity to the thin group, and leads to eating disorders by those who are a healthy and appealing body shape, that differs from the 'size zero' look marketed by the fashion industry.

Ask 100 straight heterosexual men what body shape they prefer for a woman, and 90+ of them will not chose the rail thin fashion model. 100/ 100 of them will also not chose the 'Honey Boo Boo's mom' type, either. Most guys prefer a woman who can eat a meal that they pay for, instead of just eating the watercress garnish. They don't prefer the woman who spends all day eating donuts and pork rinds in front of the television set. Too many women try to lose weight by starving themselves. This helps them lose weight where they don't want to. It never occurs to them to use exercise as a way of losing weight, proportionally. They would rather gossip about the woman who goes to the gym three times a week, who looks fit, because it matters to her. It's a lot easier to drink white wine with their friends, and bitch about why life is unfair, because someone else is Cinderella.

You probably get that all the time, Cristy. Other women envy you, because they wish they were you, and you were them. Anyone who is who they want to be will be envied by anyone who pretends to be someone they are not.
