George Costanza, keep in mind that this thread is
1st porno film, not favorite. Most guys would have seen at least one, before they saw
Caligula, unless they were born with game, or received man lessons at an early age.
I saw
Caligula in a theater, and thought it was great. I had it on VHS cassette, but it wasn't returned, by someone who borrowed it; they put a different tape in the box. I have it on a digital copy now, obtained from Demonoid, and that's better than I had, because I don't watch many VHS tapes anymore, and the digital quality is better than analog.
I can't say I enjoyed
Bolero in the theater, even though
Bo Derek was at her physical peak, while doing simulated sex. The film around the sex scenes didn't hold my interest.
I was one of the few patrons in the theater that enjoyed
Showgirls, but other people later changed their minds about that one.
The one with
Madonna and
Willem DaFoe,
Body of Evidence, was a yawn fest.
Wild Orchid, where
Bruce Willis played
hide the sausage with
Carrie Otis, for real, is good, but effectively ended Carrie's film career.
Last Tango in Paris is a masterpiece.
Just plain porn is hard to watch, without fast forwarding.
Danny Devito had a funny meme about that fairly recently. Check his threads started list in his profile, if you want to see it. I don't remember the title, but you should be able to find it, in two selections, or less.
One of the best erotic films I ever saw was
Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love, (1996), and I loved
Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!, (1965, black and white, by
Russ Myer), even though it has very little nudity.
Russ made great single X porn, with funny stories, and huge breasted actresses.
Russ Myer's SuperVIXENS is the best sex movie ever.
Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens isn't that good.
Russ was his own cameraman for the films he directed, much of the time. The screenplay to his film
Beyond The Valley of The Dolls was co-written by
Roger Ebert, the film critic, who gave Russ a medium sized thumbs up for all of his work, but would have given him a bigger one, if he was physically able to so do.
Check out Russ' filmography at Wikipedia:

There's a movie done since 2000 in the same style as Russ' work, called
Pervert!, and that's pretty good, too. I may have a copy on my computer, but possibly on a CD Rom that I can't copy back to my hard drive.
