Here's a pretty cool thing:

A view of the space shuttle cockpit and you can pan and zoom. You can zoom so close you can read what all the buttons and switches are for.

I found it hilarious with all that technology there's a dell laptop behind the captain's seat lol...

have fun!

That is good, but where is the laptop?.

look on the port side, behind the captain's seat. You start facing forward, captain on the left, co-pilot on the right. The laptop is on top of a console behind the seat.

The control panel with the handle up high in the middle is the control for the canadarm. It's to the left of that big console....and it says DELL right on the lid lol (ps: it's folded up so it's just a grey rectangle).

Did you notice all the velcro squares everywhere? jesus there must be a hundred of them....

BTW: I wonder if you can buy a used one now that they're not using anymore......

it moves both ways....simply move your mouse to the left or right, and use the scroll button to move in or out. I found it is really sensitive and if the curser is even a minute amount off centre, it'll move.....

anytime ames, did you find the "automatic bob" control panel????

Wow, I wonder if they know what every switch and button is actually for? I guess if the answer is no we should be worried.

The thing is, yes, they MUST know what they all are for and what they do and when to use them......What surprised me was the shear amount.....I thought it'd be much simpler seeing as how they really don't do anything on the way up, and on the way down they are basically a glider. So....what are they all for? I mean, I understand the telemetry, radar, artificial horizon etc. I know there will be some for maneuvering thrusters....I also realize it is the most complex machine built by man but...did it have to be? it's basically a flying box car....
