1. Live with the person you love for at least 2 years before you marry. If you still like them just as much when you discover their quirks, go ahead and marry them.

2. Never lend money you can't afford to lose.

3. Find a career that makes you happy, even if it means changing jobs several times. You're going to be working for a lot of years and you don't want to hate what you do.

4. Always use manners - they go a long way to cementing your character.

5. Never try to 'change' a person... if you cannot accept them as they are, they're not meant to be in your life.
