Once every six months or so, Google tells me all of the benefits and conveniences of having the handle for my Youtube channel changed, to match a Facebook account. I only use Google for searches as a last resort.

Most large corporations have a three to five year plan in place for their business model. Google has a 300 year plan, to codify, amalgamate, and store all of the information from the entire history of mankind.

A lot of people today may see that as a good and benevolent gesture, to help people, out of the 'good of their heart'. People three hundred years from now won't think so, when there are no more paper books, and a kid has to pay Google to read things that were once public domain, or available at libraries.

None of that stuff will be worth reading anymore, anyway. All of the words will have been replaced with emoticons.

I'm not worried about it. I expect The Kurgan will have cut my head off with a sword by then.
