To have female officers out alone on patrol is rediculous.

True dat, which is why I pretty much always support the police when people dump all over them. The thing is: after the fact we might know the perp wouldn't assault the cop but at the time, THEY don't know a thing and have to react as if this type of thing will happen to them.....You always hear on "COPS" the police saying "you're not under arrest, I'm putting you in cuffs for your and my safety"......
