All I know if you give a cop an attitude....the results are often horrible. When i got pulled over by a police officer for not making a full stop before making a right turn, i just did whatever he told me to do. No attitude. Just Yes sir. Thank you sir. I was not going to argue with him despite his nasty behaviour. THere are some bad apples out there (Like in any profession) and some of them are on a powertrip.
