Sometimes just sitting in silence with someone is the best help you can give. Fighting depression is a bitch, fighting it alone is what makes it feel impossible.

Exactly, all mental illnesses for that matter. They are people, is what we have to remember they some can cope or over come, but for some it just never happens.
For those living with depression or any mental illness and I am sure there are some here, you have support and as hard as it gets please do not give up. It is a hard and hurtful illness and no one should be alone. I lost 2 clients in my years of mental health and it just hurts to see such a loss.
