Doen't change the fact that this is a federal law and not of Hudak's doing. On the surface it is a bad law and hopefully will prove to unconsituional. Not sure the it "Nordic", sounds more like the 'States ( excepting Nevada).

Again I have to agree with Jasper. LG, the one thing everyone forgets is that both the PC's and NDP wanted to shut down the gas plants if elected and now they are using this to pound a stake into the Libs heart. I'm not happy with the Liberals. I don't agree with Wynn wanting to raise taxes, wanting to keep Drive Clean etc.... but a greater injustice would be to bring back the Harris era a.k.a Hudak. I also believe LoveLatina is correct, the stings would be fully supported by Hudak to pro-op his Federal hero counterpart.

LG, if truth be known I really want Ms. Horvat in but I have to vote and encourage others to vote strategically and vote Liberals. The cons will take everything that is dear to our hearts away.

Hudak's claims of no higher taxes will mean higher user fees so please don't give me that right wing non common sense mantra approach, it's the same thing spun a different way. I voted in my advance polling station and voted Liberal while holding my nose. The conservatives have left me no choice. Any party that decides on policy based on religion and feminist propraganda is not a party I can ever vote for.

A government forcing you to give up part of your hard earned wages under threat of imprisonment, so they can decide where it goes to help people, is not CHARITY. I would be willing to help others so much more if it weren't for the fact that the government probably uses about 1 cent out of a dollar of taxes (if that) to actually do any good for people in need.

As for minimum wage....it was first created - did that stop poverty? No. It has been increased several times - did that stop poverty? No. What makes you think that any changes to the minimum wage are going to do anything to help people this time? 10 - 15 years ago there was a labor shortage and fast food places were offering double the minimum wage of the time to get people to come in and work. The influx of millions of "undocumented workers" and a bad economy where the government it sticking its nose in all over the place is the problem with the demand for employees. Kick out those who snuck into this country illegally and watch the wages go up for those willing to work. You might actually see teens getting summer and after school jobs, putting some money away for college and learning some valuable life skills and work ethics. Reduce regulation on businesses and let them offer their own benefits packages rather than being forced to use some government bullshit. Basically, like with anything the government tries to do, get the hell out of the way and let it take its course! Everyone brings up Cosco vs Walmart as an example of a business prospering by paying its employees the way it wants to. Let it continue and let walmart go out of business and let cosco prosper then. Why does anyone need to get in the way?

In Ontario the minimum wage is now $11.00 do you think this is unreasonable considering the costs of living in Ontario. Do you not also think if one makes more on welfare why bother going to work?

One more thing about conservatives wanting to chop 100,000 government jobs;think about it, less people voting for the liberals and NDP because private sector workers have been slowly brainwashed into turning against workers just like them. Instead of screaming "why am I getting paid less for the same job" they have been brainwashed into screaming, "if I don't have it, neither should they", :NoNoNo: rush to the bottom is never a good thing, the middle class is being slowly wiped out.

Primo, what is the difference between raising taxes or imposing user fees as the Conservatives are famous for. Here we had Mike Harris give away a cash cow like the 407 by leasing it to a private consortium. We have Harper blow a shit load of money on fighter jets, passing privacy invading omnibus bills NOT to mention his for the rich favoring income splitting changes and the evil income trust fiasco and lie. How can you stand by and watch a corporation pay anyone $2.00 an hour? Do you want to see our communities suffering like some do in Mexico, Cuba etc.....

I like you do not like government interference in what we put into our bodies, how we engage in sex etc. but I do want to see policies like NDP's suggestion of only awarding companies that hire Canadian and imposing higher corporation taxes on ones that do not. My other pet peeve is how everyone seems to rail against public services but conservatives keep very quiet on gas prices, high insurance cost, food prices and energy costs going through the roof. It seems to me the only party mentioning these items are the NDP.

I'm not a religious person but I'm praying Hudak get's decimated for the sake of hard working people across Ontario and to send Harper a message that if he follows he dictator ways he's next to walk the unemployment line.

Hudak's numbers were flawed and you call that honesty, I call it stupidity. The pc's lost some long standing tea party drinking members which should send a clear signal to Harper. Harper needs Ontario for his majority which is clearly in jeopardy provided Justin doesn't say too much and Wynn doesn't piss off the voters who brought her into power.

Removing minimum is exploiting humans (never mind the sex trade), you will see increased slavery and human trafficking. Also you will see increased gang activity and violence among youth because making $1,000 a day selling drugs would be their career choice rather than making $2/hr.
