ADHD Is Mostly Caused By Boring Schools

How about autism? Same thing?

Being rhetorical. Autism has gone up, for as yet unknown reasons. The rise in rates of autism is not explained by over diagnosis. It is generally unmistakable. Same for peanut allergies - we didn't have them around when I was a kid, but there's no mistaking a peanut allergy. If peanut allergies or autism can become more of a thing, why not ADHD?

And by the way, there are compelling reasons to believe that ADHD and autism are connected, whether by genetics, environment, or both. And even some say that these developmental brain disorders are a kind of allergic response in the brain during key development times (leading to too much or too little myelin - which is the insulating material of the brain.)

Anyway, don't be too quick to dismiss things like ADHD. Sure, it's may be over diagnosed. But there are clear, unmistakable cases, and it's more of a problem than it was 50 years ago. Bottom line, listen to the people affected: parents, doctors, scientists, etc., not the local expert on everything at Tim Hortons.

in Finland children start school at 7 years old. by age 15 they are number 1 in education.
