There seems to be a high incidence of domestic violence with athletes involved in combat/collision sports. I wonder if there is a correlation ? Maybe we are looking at brain damage and CTE issues.

The whole roid rage thing is kind of a red herring in my opinion.

I've known literally hundreds of guys and gals that have done steroids throughout the years.

And the ones that exhibited abnormal psychological tendencies like excessive anger had those traits before they started their first cycle.

The difference was that after they got a lot bigger and stronger they started to develop a false sense of bravado. But it all started with that chip they had on their shoulder from childhood really.

Maybe but let's also look at how they were raised as well.

Most abusers were raised in a family of abuse as well. It's ingrained in them and systematic.

They do it to their kids and then their kids do it to theirs. Generational.

I have living proof in my life that ROID RAGE exists!
And the Steroid use that I am speaking about was not taken to improve muscle mass or strength
This Steroid usage was for pain management and it was used over a period in excess of 10 years (Direct injection by a doctor)
No aggressive or abnormal psychological tendencies' were present prior to the usage.
I have unfortunately been a witness to this for quite some time and I can assure you it is very real.:sorry2:

The type of steroids used for pain management say for instance for rheumatoid arthritis, are known as corticosteroids.

Corticosteroids do not have any anabolic or more importantly androgenic properties. It's the androgenic properties that are linked to aggression.

So I'm confused by your statement. Maybe you can clarify by telling me the name of the substance that you are referring to. Whether it be the chemical name or the brand name.

A friend of mine has a prescription for Delatestryl which is the brand name for testosterone enanthate. Which is a AA or anabolic/androgenic steroid.
FYI he's on TRT. Testosterone replacement therapy.
