On a per capita basis, I'd wager there are infinitely more pedos outside the clergy than in. That's not the point. Marriage is not/nor meant to be a cure for pedophilia, but it does quickly resolve myriad other significant issues currently plaguing the Vatican on a global scale. There will always be pedos, and they will always seek to infiltrate organizations and communities to prey on innocent and unsuspecting children.

Its not politically correct to bad mouth religion anymore

This is the result of pressure from Islam, although a lot of the negative press relating to that religion, was/is justified.

Just another example of special interest groups having more influence than they deserve, and the weak-kneed in positions of power.
