Not much info, if I find more I'll post it....

Is anyone shocked?

Not surprised, but sad news nonetheless. She was clearly troubled.

Some people cannot handle pressure. I wish God had given me some kind of talent as an entertainer and would not have wasted it.

I don't know that her issues started when she became famous. I mean, on her first breakthrough album she had a hit called "rehab" lol.....

I think the fame and the money that came with her success was her downfall.....

Dead at 27 years of age, something about that age.....Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Curt Cobain, Brian Jones

She'll live on through her music, I thought she was a great talent. :great:

IMO this is a tragedy that has surprised no one. Winehouse's struggles with drugs and alcohol were often in the public eye and even addressed in her own music, like her best-known hit "Rehab."

The curse of 27

The curse of 27

Jimi Hendrix, age 27.
kurt Cobain, age 27.
Janis Joplin, age 27.
Jim Morrison, age 27.

Damn, we have to wait another 10 years for Justin Bieber :666:

(bad joke?.)

I'm with you player, I wasn't surprised in the least when I read it.....

I don't know about demons, once you start down the slipperly slope of hard drugs, it is (usually) a one way ticket to an early grave......

Amy Winehouse died of alcohol withdrawal, source says

British pop singer Amy Winehouse died from alcohol withdrawal, according to a report posted on people.com.

The singer, who died Saturday at the age of 27, was advised by a doctor to gradually stop drinking alcohol but instead went cold turkey. Family members believe it was the sudden withdrawal that caused her death, the website reports.

An did not pinpoint the cause of death. Toxicology tests won't be complete for several weeks.

Interest in Winehouse's music has soared since her death, according to Nielsen SoundScan reports. Sales of "Back to Black," Winehouse's last album, released in 2006, jumped to 37,000 in the past few days. The numbers are strong enough for the album to re-enter the Billboard Top 10 for the week, coming in at No. 9.

The Grammy-winning singer left a treasure of unreleased music. No decision has been made as to whether or not it will be released.

Amy Winehouse drank herself to death only hours after saying she was desperate to live because she still had so much to achieve, her inquest heard yesterday.
The singer drank enough to stop her breathing and send her into a coma. Three empty vodka bottles were found near her body in her bedroom.
A pathologist who examined her said she had 416mg of alcohol per decilitre of blood – five times the legal drink-drive limit of 80mg. The inquest heard that 350mg was usually considered a fatal amount.

HOly fuck....5 times? jesus....I heard on the news that it was alcohol related but holy shit......

Don't blame alcohol. She was gonna self destruct no matter what.
