— Authorities are searching for a man who was caught on camera during a home invasion in Millburn, where police said the owner was assaulted.

Investigators, who released snapshots from the home's surveillance footage, said they are looking for a bearded man who forced his way into a Cypress Street home around 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The man took an undetermined amount of jewelry, according to a Millburn Police Department press release.
After the home invasion, the owner was taken to an area hospital where she was treated for injuries to her face and legs, the release said.

Authorities said more information about the robbery will be released in the "near future."

Thank God her injuries where fairly minimal and her little girl was unharmed.

As for the perp well I assume that once he is caught he will receive the maximum sentence and most likely some jail house justice will be served.

My guess is that this is very angry dude with a long history of aggression and a lengthy criminal record.

that man was clearly abused as a child and turned over to a Foster System that left him to further abuse.
Abuse and prison stays have taught him only a savage way of life.

If anything as a society we have failed him and should be working to help him adjust.

Not locking him up like an animal and re-enforcing his views of life.
