What you all up to?

Like usual I am away to Lala land :-Cool/"

Sorry for not contributing during the summer time. Family priorities come first. How is all the gang doing?

Sillygirlg keeps declining my invitation. Guys, who can change her mind :shout:

I'll be relaxing and trying to save my lawn lol....more to this long weekend though, I just found out that even though it is a mandatory day off, we all don't get paid for it.......can't figure out their reasoning, if I was here longer I'd be raising hell......

It's the difference between a civic and a statutory holiday. I don't think it's mandatory to be off, it's probably because the company wants to shut down.

I'm working on Saturday. But I will have Monday off, with vacation pay. :good:

Its next weekend I'm looking forward to. As got the 18th/19th, I'm undecided on whether to drop $150 to participate in a 10k death race.

I am being kidnap this weekend......:LMAO:
I wanted to stay home but.........there is No Sex....only fun
and bugs......

Probably...just chilling. Some golf, a couple parties, maybe take the rugrat to the zoo.

I'm a little vacationed out and running out of things to do around these parts. It's been an amazing year/summer for travel and I've got a big trip down south coming up in a couple weeks. I kinda like being in the city on long weekends because it's so quiet.

Most companies used to pay you on Civic holiday but since Droolin' Dalton brought in Family Day, which is a statuatory holiday and therefore mandatory to be paid, only about half pay the Civic one now.

I hate driving to the cottage on long weekends. A 2 hour drive always turns into 4 or 5.

Yeah, damn those ibankers buying up all the cottages within an hour of Toronto.

That's why I'm inclined to get a place down south. I wouldn't feel obligated to go every weekend, but when I do, the travel time would be about the same.

and if you're coming to muskoka, plan on a longer drive....a couple of bridges are down to one lane each and there's a couple of spots on 11 that are down to 1 each way....last long weekend it took me 30 minutes to go from one exit to the other......dumb me, I shoulda taken a side road.......

You must hate it when the city folks invade!:biggrin2:

Turned my long weekend into a 4 day one, drove up to tboy country a few hours ago and just cracked open my first of several beers on the dock. :good:
