Another well reviewed SP thread closed - she didn't meet the mark

So here we go again. I've been awfully quiet about my rants, but this one gave me the shits I was so fucking mad about it.

A reviewer on another board, gave an honest review of a well reviewed lady. She's been making the rounds and has had stellar reviews. I've chimed in about her and I think it was because she seemed a little crazed about a service that 99.9% of SP's allow, that made me think she just wasn't for me for. I thought it was a little extreme, but whatever. I won't see her and don't give a fuck.

But here comes this well written and honest review and it's shut down within hours. The SP (who I was surprised didn't chime in on that thread - actually kinda smart on her part and was probably counselled on not doing so) was not vilified. Was not shamed. Provided a good session. The client was just a little disappointed on her looks based on the stellar feedback from her fan club.

So now the poor fucker has this spotlight on him and was shamed. I doubt he'll post another review. Maybe he'll make it over here. Maybe he's already here.

My point is, if it's an honest review, and done well to the point of the author, then fuck it, let him have his say. If the SP decides to chime in because the author is being a douche, then yeah, get your white knight armour out and defend at will; you'll never see me do it because I won't get in the middle of that shit storm, especially a review. If the thread is shut down because of an honest review, then fuck all those Mods and agency bribed fuckers, I hope you all get syphilis.

If it happens here, I'll rip your necks off and shit down your throats.

The reviews on some sites seem to be advertiser driven.

Which of course completely defeats the purpose of a review board.

Really, how is that even possible? I don't know why people get bothered about positive or negative reviews, tbh. They're an opinion and we all know what opinions are like I've been described in reviews as a brunette, 30 something, blonde-which I am, 40 ish, enhanced, not enhanced, attractive, gorgeous and in between. I've been described as thin, large, medium, lol. So my point, some reviews are obviously invented, some are written as seen through the eyes of that beholder, and no two eyes behold the same thing. Some are written for malicious intent and some simply to entertain the masses or to boast. My point read them with a grain of salt and.....if you really want to know a particular provider, go and see her

Reviews are what I call a guideline. YMMV will and should always play a factor.

Does it even matter? I don't really care about what's being written on other boards and sites these days. Whoever the guy is, I'm sure he's just voicing an opinion. I'm sure he will survive the storm of white Knights. And whoever the lady is, I'm sure she is getting more business due to the controversy.

Shouldn't we know if someone got a bad review? OR, shouldn't we also know if it was the reviewer we shouldn't trust?

The thread in question was locked not deleted. Everyone had their say and the discussion had run it's course.

My point is, they didn't allow the thread to remain open for discussion. For all intents and purposes, it was a heated discussion but I don't think it got out of hand. I'm pretty sure the agency to which the lady worked for and the fact that she was a major part in the recent Xmas party and well liked, prompted this closure.

It must be tricky for board owners to find a balance between keeping their advertisers happy and keeping their reviewers happy. There could also be stuff going on behind the scenes that regular members have no knowledge of.


I've never had a bad review, so haven't had to deal with that issue, but many of my threads on various boards got locked in the past. :blush2: I could give Fuggy a run for his money on creating drama threads, lol.

I find this frustrating, but I understand that owners have to look after the best interests of the board as a whole, and not just my issues.

Unfortunately I've learned my lesson and matured in my online ways. It's not fun getting warnings from mods and I don't want to get banned for bad behaviour.
