I've always had doge, big ones. English Mastiffs, Neapolitan Mastiffs, Dogue de Bordeauxs and American Bulldogs. Had a few cats over the years too. They all have their merits.

Me? I go for just about anything "critter" like. I've had dogs (though it's been eons) and cat's for as long as I can remember. Had a cockatiel, a snake, among others. Right now I have a cat and a half (the half is just a "shared" cat from the 'hood that stops by during the day then disappears at night to make his rounds).
