Made with Love

Are you high maintenance? Yes this is for men and women.....

I'm both. I camp, fish, love 4-wheeling, can go days without make-up and hair in a ponytail. I don't ever get manicures but I love pedicures and spa treatments. I only let one person in the world touch my hair and if that woman ever leaves the city, I will fly her in to do my hair. haha I love Louboutins and Saks Fifth Ave but I also can't go without my favorite pair of ripped jeans and Chuck Taylors. I'm pretty handy around the home. I love fine dining and I also love wings and beer. So I guess I'm the best of both worlds?

I left home when I was 18.

That being the case, I cook, clean, do laundry, even iron my own shirts. (I won't let Mrs. CG iron anything of mine... I'm OCD that way...)

I do my own nails, but have never gone tanning or had a facial.

I'm a firm believer of doing it myself...

If that is high maintenance, then I guess I am. :ouch:

OMG!!!!...you sound like my wife....not afraid to get her nails dirty.....she fixes EVERTHING around the house, but she is pure WOMAN!!!!

The OP addressed physical maintenance but I divide maintenance into 2 categories; physical and emotional. On the physical side I am high maintenance. I'm impeccably groomed at all times and I use professionals for the important stuff like hair and nails. Nails are a must as good back and head scratches are common in my home. The rest I do myself. I am self sufficient in all other ways except auto repairs and maintenance. Living in a condo, I do not have room for the tools or the actual garage space to do my own work, altho I could if I had a house and garage. My physical maintenance is all done on the qt and the man in my life won't know it happened unless I'm using his bank card.

For me the physical maintenance isn't anywhere near as taxing as emotional maintenance. People needing constant reassurance, soothing and support for their life dramas are so much more work. If I had to rate it, I'm an 8/10 on the physical maintenance side and a 1/10 with emotional maintenance. I don't need to have someone tell me they love me everyday, come home for dinner daily or even come home at all if they have things they are out enjoying. I don't call crying or upset, I don't expect attendance at events he doesn't want to go to. I don't dictate what he can or can't do with his spare time. I don't pitch fits or temper tantrums; I'm not passive aggressive and I don't believe in manipulation as a relationship tool.

So yes, I do require maintenance but only in the ways that don't hurt...

Manicures, absolutely. Have to keep the nails on the left hand short, and the nails on the right hand longer for playing classical guitar. Not to mention it looks great. Don't knock it until you try it.

Sorry but I would much rather buy another bottle of good red than spend money on a manicure. Never had one but the homophobe in me would start rearing its ugly head if some guy was doing it to me or worse, rubbing lotiony crap into my face.

I'm low maintenance.....I think. Cook, clean ( I do have someone come in every 2 weeks to do the stuff men don't see), wash clothes etc. Personality-wise I may be high maitenence; my daughter tells me I can be stubborn.....but I think that's just a function of being always right :)

Men
Make your own dinner
Do your own laundry
But your own beer, lol
Get your nails done
Massages
Facials
Tanning

La la la, let's see who thinks what, smirking and smiling.

Own Dinner - Yes. Who else is going to make it? But I do love to eat out, though I'm pretty low brow.

Own Laundry - Yes.

Own Beer - Yes. But once again I like to eat out and go out.

Nails Done - Nope. Clippers and file once a week. I do have a pumice stone for my heels though.

Massages - I was at a rub and tug once, and I've been gifted legit massages a few times.

Facials - Ejaculate (that's not my own) on my face: No. Mud masks, or whatever: Not since I knew teenage girls.

Tanning - No. I'm a ghost that turns into a pomegranate.

The bonus round:
Hair Cuts: Under $20, and mostly involving a No. 4 clipper. Hair styling: My hand (Seriously. I own a brush and comb to reassure others). Hair product: One drop to stop frizz. Preferred pants: Jeans. Body Wash: Not when I have shampoo. Fruity or fancy Shampoo: Nope. Makeup: I buy one 'powder stick thingie' a year for the odd zit, and mostly pitch it. Food: I like pretty much everything, but have a Norther Boy's soft spot for burgers and steak. Style: Pretty urban casual, with the odd bit of eclectic 'charm'. Will do: Pretty much anything.

edit: I also trim my chest and groin. Once a month. After I get my hair done.

I'd say I'm pretty low maintenance.

if you keep tag teaming Mrs Dallas you might get one sooner than you think :666:hehehehehe

High maintenance.
The only things I don't do are the "manscaping" and the tanning.
Tanning I do on vacation.
Monthly: Back wax, haircut.
Bi-weekly: chiropractic appointment, manicure, facial.
Weekly: massage, dinner out, cleaning crew comes to clean my house, property maintenance I do myself.
Daily: Steam (Have a steam room in my house)
I fix my own cars (within my abilities)

Curiously I am FAR from being a "metrosexual" I just do these things.

Even my DOG gets spa days! LOL!

You tell me?

I can but don't cook. I'll eat out before I cook (but I love dive joints).

I do my own laundry but outsource all my dress shirts.

I use a different soap for my face than for my body.

I get my hair done at a salon, with colour and style by gay dudes (shampoo girl is hawt tho).

I don't fake bake, but vacation twice yearly and will not stay in a hotel or resort less than a certain rating.

My cars are foreign, my beer is domestic.

I clean my house, including toilets, and detail my cars. I do my own oil changes and tune-ups.

I maintain my property, including mowing, hedging and basic tree maintenance.

I built my own deck.

Massages? Hell yes. Preferrably but hot young girls not bound by the restrictions of clothing.

I was pondering this while I was pedicuring the other day. If I'm obsessive about my feet but I do it myself, is that high-maintenance?

Hair - I pay a fortune for the color but keep the style simple enough that it doesn't take long to do. Most of the time I don't even blow it dry, I just put it up and let it dry itself.

Tanning - only if I'm heading for the beach. I don't spray tan, I'll never be convinced that rubbing all those chemicals into my skin is any healthier for me than a bed or the sun.

Hair removal - I'm meticulous about getting waxed but lazy as hell about shaving my legs. Probably because my skin is so sensitive, it's quite a production.

Skin - I have quite a collection of scrubs and lotions, definitely high-maintenance about that.

Massages - haven't had one in a long time, but I'm a big fan.

Facials - ohhhh, yes. Every chance I get. :666:
