So, I went, I saw and I conquered (and I got the tshirt to prove it)!
It was....disappointing. I ordered the bacon wrapped hot dog, BLT Nutella and the bacon wrapped mars bar.
Regrettably, they use cheap bacon (of course). So, it was just salty with nary a hit of smoky goodness.
And, no, I didn't eat everything by myself. I shared some fellow Ex-goers.
I didn't get a chance to ride the Sky Ride, so I'll have to go back this week if I can find some time.
The shopping seems to be better this year. They opened up the back half of the Direct Energy centre. The highlight there was the Bikini Bay store. Who wouldn't like chicks eager to buy cheap ($5!?!) bikinis that will probably disintegrate at the first contact with water?
Other highlights included the firehall by the food building where a fireman was showing kids how to use the hose. They were spraying passers by, including some ladies who presumably had a thing for fireman and kept walking past again and again....until their shirts were soaked. Bless their hearts.
Some things that I wish I could "unsee" include:
1. A girl wearing a sexy white pair of crochet short shorts and bright orange thongs you could clearly see underneath...but she was pushing 250 lbs, easily.
2. A middle aged trucker momma who was eager to try the shaker thingy (where you stand on a platform that vibrates so your muscles have to move to compensate). Sadly, she was quite jiggly. It was like watching human jello. I tried to walk away, but I couldn't, even as my eyes were burning.
