The researchers believe that TRAPPIST-1f in particular is the best candidate for supporting life. It's a bit cooler than Earth, but could be suitable with the right atmosphere and enough greenhouse gases.

Right now, Voyager 1 is the farthest man-made object that has traveled away from earth. Its around 131 AU. (an AU is about 93 million miles). So, its about 1.22 x 10^10 miles from earth.

A "light year" is about 63,241 AU. Or 5.9 x 10^12 miles

So if Voyager 1 was going to attempt to travel 1 light year, it would be 0.2% of the way there.
