Attention: Attention Whores: Two more members have been added to my Ignore list tonight. I don't care if THEY read my posts or not.

Interacting with ME is a privilege, not a right. They can continue to embarrass themselves by 'talking to the hand'; they have that right. What THEY have to say just no longer matters to ME. I don't give toddlers a chocolate bar, if they throw a tantrum in the check-out line. It only encourages them to do it again.

I don't have to give a warning, or a reason; those are some of my rights. They are free to troll anyone else who is willing to tolerate them; that is not my concern.

I may or may not provide any warning before adding additional members. I may or may not read some of their posts in 'lurk mode'. I may or may not respond to them with ASL gifs.

I'll monitor this thread periodically, to see who else wishes to become irrelevant to me.

Thanks, FatCat, and I gave you one. I'm not sure if I've seen any of your other 50 posts. This board has had been colloquially known as "the most awesome board anywhere" for a long time. A small number of individuals are largely responsible for that. I have to deal with people like that in real life every day. I don't have to do that in my free time. I don't WANT to be friends with everyone, only with people who have something to say that interests ME. Just because someone else thinks they are important, doesn't mean I do.

Some members will permanently remain on my Ignore list, others may receive a reprieve, if they kiss my ass in public view, and I happen to see it.

To me, it's funny that this thread had 49 page views between one and six AM on a Tuesday morning. The two new additions to my Ignore list were informed by private message, so if they want to tell people that I consider them to be redundant, that`s their business.
