August sucks if you own a business.

A very slow month for me. A couple of friends in the hospitality and retail industry also say they are hurting. Yes people go on vacation, to cottages with kids etc... but this year has been the worst.

How are you guys doing. How about the SP, slower for you?.

I hear only the real state and construction industry is doing well, true?.

It's a norm every year. Business drops 30 % late July and August. The rich go out and play to other locations.

I know of 2 restaurants that close for two weeks in August.

A little slower in August. Not as many deadlines as a lot of people are away. Also difficult to find staff at my place as lots of people on vac ation

Dropped my car for service this morning. On the chalkboard there were half the usual names. They told me it's the slowest month of the year for them.
