OK, maybe not, but I just read an article in one of my journals that shows eating breakfast prevents children from developing Type 2 diabetes and obesity when they become adults. Study done on 4,000 children. Those who did not eat breakfast has 26% higher levels of insulin resistance.

So eat that brekkie, kiddies!

That make sense

A good breakfast helps kick start your metabolism.

These stats are useless and a waste of resources.
Now a waste of my time.

Those who don't eat breakfast are probably more likely to be neglected in other ways as well, these reasons might also contribute to poor health later in life.

So double-blind controlled studies published in peer-reviewed medical journals don't actually mean anything, huh? All those reviewers couldn't see past the useless stats, dumb jerbs that they are.

They're studying the obvious, they learned eating breakfast is good for you. :LMAO:

They identified one simple way to help kids not develop poor health, sounds good to me. Many schools now have breakfast and lunch programs for low income kids because they realize they learn better on a full stomach.

This was a revelation to them? :LMAO:

Obviously there were some useful conclusions in the study, otherwise it would be quite silly, as Jasper points out. I simplified enormously for amusement value. That doesn't diminish the value of the study or the conclusions.

A misleading heading

you think it would have been more interesting, in this forum, to post the academic title of the paper? Given the penchant of some blue members on this board for bacon (I won't mention any names), the amusement value alone was worth the title.
