OTTAWA - As the federal government continues to warn Canadians travelling to Mexico to be careful, an Ottawa area politician and Daniel Dion's family are calling for an all-out embargo. Carleton Place, Ont., mayor Paul Dulmage was a close friend and business partner of Dion.

The pair were working to secure government contracts for disaster relief victims in Mexico. Sunday, fresh from hearing news that his 51-year-old friend's body was found in the trunk of a burned out car near Acapulco, Dulmage said he wants an embargo on travel to Mexico.

"That's enough of that nonsense," he said.
Dulmage is referring to the fact that in the past four months, hit men have killed nearly 150 people in Tepic, Tijuana, Ciudad, Santaigois, Tamaulipas and Monterrey.

NOW YOU TELL ME! :grrrrrr:

Just booked our trip to Cancun on Saturday!!!!

That's it Mrs. CG... we're staying on the resort and on resort sanctioned excursions only!

The war on drugs is taking a toll in Mexico. There will be more casualities in the near future. Mark my words. You all remember the other deaths to Canadians the last few years and the papers kept a quiet lid on it?.
