Lucky Man by Emerson, Lake and Palmer

Rage Against the Machine

Rage Against the Machine

Saw them on their reunion tour a few years back. Amazing show, kicked the shit out of my eardrums!

Tom Morello does some crazy shit with his guitar!

Springsteen at Seneca College on Dec. 21, 1975 for his Born To Run tour, it blew me away!

Ticket price... $7.50

So many of them...

-Iggy Pop - A legend
-Motorhead - Always a great show
-Dream Theater - How the hell do these guys hold it together without everything becoming a complete clusterfuck!
-Paco DeLucia/Al DiMeola/John McLaughlin - Went back to my basement to relearn everything I have ever learned and did not play rock music for a year on my guitar
-Steve Vai - Enough said
-Michael Jackson - The true 'King of Pop'
-The Who - 1982 Maple Leaf Gardens
-BB King - Blues at its finest

Led Zepellin, 4th & 11th August 1979
Pink Floyd, 1979, and many more since then.
Roger Waters, Sept 2010, Toronto & Chicago.
Genesis, 1980.

To name but a few.

Well, I thought we were supposed to post THE best perfomer/concert, not all the good ones.

I have to say, even though the sound was shit, Prince's Purple Rain show back in the 80's was freaking amazing.......

(now onto the best list: queen, bowie, rush, elo (sans spaceship), and countless others....)

Prince has to be the worst actor I've ever seen but a great performer and an amazing guitarist.

Yeah, I saw him with sheila E and it was freaking amazing.

I saw U2 in the 3rd row at massey hall and it was boring in comparison.....

Without question the absolute best perrformace I have ever seen was Hanson, their song MMM-Bop really rocked the place.

Just kidding

Fark, you guys are all old farts. Who the hell can remember a concert from 25 or 30 years ago :he:.
Really great more recent concerts ( last 10 years) for me were Johnny Lang, Buddy Guy and Susan Tedeschi at the Molson Amplitheatre, Eagles Reunion Tour at AC Centre, John Mayer and any of the festival ending jam session at the Mont Tremblant Blues Festival.

Was that the U2 'WAR' album tour in 1983 , cos I was there also , tho I had crap seats on second balcony. Also saw Prince with Sheila E at the Gardens .Prince came on stage in a old white Thunderbird.

Bob Dylan - Knockin' On Heaven's Door

Bob Dylan - Knockin' On Heaven's Door

The man is awesome. Seen him three times during his prime.

U2- 3 x
Pink Floyd- 2 x
Rush- 5 x
Robert Plant- 1 x
Genesis- 2 x
Asia- 2 x
Yes- 1 x
Styx- 2 x
Roger Waters

All great concerts and all masters in their own right.

Best live performance I've ever seen (and I've seen him four times) is Xavier Rudd. Not the biggest name I've seen, but the energy, dynamics, and the "I can't believe it's one guy" factor makes him the best IMO.

Here's a couple examples.

Next is Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band. Great group and he is an unbelievable guitar player. He can play two parts at the same time; I heard him do a two part Row, row, row your boat by himself. Unreal.

LOL, I saw The Who that year also at Shea and JFK stadium in Philly. Santana and The Clash were openers at JFK, great concert. That was farewell tour #1?

I saw Bryan Adams opening to Loverboy. They got it wrong, lol.
