Best stain remover

I had left a couple of candles sitting on my carpet.......they were reddish burgundy,now so is my carpet....yikes, I've googled how to remove the stain and tried a lot of different things but nothing has worked so far. Any of you lovely people know a magic stain remover that will take dye out of a carpet(it's not wax I need to remove it's the dye/color from the candle) Thanks

I got this from Google.

Mix one tablespoon of liquid hand dishwashing detergent and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. 2. Using aclean white cloth, sponge the stain with the detergent/vinegar solution, blotting frequently with a dry cloth until the stain disappears.

Thanks Leo, no none of those worked, hydrogen peroxide lifted it some,used a whole bottle too, haven't tried ammonia yet and may...
@Admiral the carpet is new, the stain is about fist size, so I'd hate to have to replace it because of this boo boo

I wasn't. I was short on time getting ready for a client once and wanted to change my red/burgundy candles to green ones, so I just slid them under my bed and forgot about them, until the other day when getting stuff ready for a yard sale. I obviously use under my bed as storage, lol, so now you know. Just the candles sitting on the carpet allowed the transference of their coloring, apparently

I was going to suggest moving the furniture around so the spot is covered, but sounds like it's already under the bed, so papasmerf will be the only one who notices it.

Lol, you don't give me much time Butch, have sprayed the stain twice it is still wet now and also still visible. Will try again when it dries. Maybe with a few tries.....if it stays my next try will be with ammonia, walmart didn't have any.
