Biggest Regret/Accomplishment

Hangman - Thank you for your service!

I'm not sure what I'm proud of. I busted my butt while I was young and accomplished a lot professionally, but now I'm adrift. I'm bored and unchallenged. I don't know where I want to head next. This will be a pivotal year. Either I take my career/business to a whole new level or I'll change careers entirely.

I've got a long way yet to see if my personal life (kids) turn out well.

Regrets - I was never one for regrets before either but I've had some big ones recently. The biggest is probably breaking a solemn promise to someone to be a friend through thick and thin. Even though I know that it was the right thing to do, and this person showed her true colours long before I ever considered turning my back, it still bugs me. The last straw was being accused of betraying her trust. That was a like in the face and a kick in the balls. I expected (and deserved) a hell of a lot better. But, I'm loyal to a fault so it doesn't sit well with me.

Hangman thank you for your service.
Takes a lot from you when you're in the service.
I have two personal friends in the Canadian army and US marines, and even though they don't mention it, the service changes a person.

Biggest regret right now: not getting enough sleep
Biggest accomplishment right now: getting a 3g signal in a deadzone

Thanks Hangman....

I have no regrets ....I do and did the best that I could....

Accomplishment....My work....it is the only thing now that keeps me going.....

I don't think I have one. Never really accomplished much IMO.

Biggest regret....Where to start.

Probably that I never have tried dating/having a relationship. But also knowing my predisposition with regards to certain schemas, the odds favour me finding myself in an abusive one. So....

Biggest accomplishment: I wrote and self published a book about 5 years ago. Chapters bookstore in the city I was living in, sold it on their local author bookshelf for me!

What's the name of the book and what was it about?

lol, can't out myself by giving you the title, but it was about my travels and close encounters with wildlife in the wilderness of BC.

I've driven over 420,000kms over the last 7 years, done 3 solo trips to the Yukon, driven every highway in BC and covered a lot of the back country on logging roads. I kept a journal while I traveled and after years of clients telling me I should write a book about it, I did!

Thanks for asking. xo :wink2:

Haha, oops. Didn't mean to do that. Just thought it would be nice to support another member and also checkout local writers :good:

On my first trip up to the Yukon, I discovered how amazing it was to be able to have hours and hours of uninterrupted thought. You can work through a lot of stuff in your head when you're away from all electronic and human distraction.

I also experienced what it's like to have your vehicle break down 3 1/2 hours northwest of Whitehorse on the Alaska Hwy. No cell phone coverage, no 911, no tow trucks, no traffic. Just me, my dog and 2 grizzly bears grazing at the side of the highway a kilometer up the road. I suppose surviving that was a big accomplishment too, lol.

:)
