So you are equating money laundering by human traffickers,... with stock market manipulation ?

Its very simple, Bit Coin opens up more opportunities for criminal activity and tax evasion.
Both of which, criminals and scum benefit, law abiding none criminal scum,... DO NOT, and actually suffer from.

So according to you, stock market manipulation is fine even when people can lose their jobs or money.
In my opinion you are comparing apples with oranges. It's like saying encrypted emails is a bad thing because criminal activities can't be tracked on the internet.

To put it all in perspective, Bitcoin can be a dangerous weapon for criminals if the technology isn't regulated soon. While crypto is a replacement for cash-based transactions, it has also made cybercrime and trafficking much easier.

Noting the alarming rise in human trafficking and sex trafficking rates, legal and AI experts are working tirelessly on countering the crimes. Currently, AI techniques such as Stylometry and Blockchain tracing are proving to be useful in busting trafficking rings. Law enforcement, digital literacy, and crypto crime control can work to tackle the illicit use of Bitcoin for trafficking.
Same as a gun but we aren't going to ban guns..aren't we?

I don't defend the anonymity but Bitcoin is a solution for monopoly. When PayPal wants to charge me 8% to get my money, Bitcoin fee goes directly to users who mine (and its FAR CHEAPER than PayPal) so it's not about creating a system to earn money like PayPal or Visa. Bitcoin is a technnology which value is given by the users and not by a government or institution so nobody can manipulate it or charge whatever they want.

Tech, YOU made the comparison between human trafficking and stock market manipulation NOT me.

And are you actually also comparing using a service like PAYPAL, with any type of transaction with BITCOIN,... hilarious.

A little more education for ya, the US is not outlawing Bitcoin, now, for obvious reasons, but wait until the FBI gets even a hint, correct or not, of a possible drug trafficker's dealing in Bitcoin, and then seizes all of the individuals possessions/capital etc,... THIS WILL HAPPEN.
Plus, the amount of energy used just for "mining" bitcoin, could power ALL of Switzerland.

Most countries are allowing none regulated "cryptocurrencies" to exist, for now, but if this gets out of hand, don't believe for a second that it can't be brought down, and no, I'm not talking about bringing a network, thats how the simple minded think.

Is there a possible need for improvement how transactions are currently done, sure, but believing that the current mishmash of cryptocurrencies is a long term solution to anything,... again,... hilarious.

Anyhow, done with you, waste of my time, but feel free to ramble on.

From the beginning I'm blaming PayPal and monopoly. I don't care about human trafficking, it is not my business. That's why I pay taxes.

Great, that's how unconstructive conversations begin. Good job.

Hey, what's the big deal?
I wanted to know how bitcoin works, I don't know much about it, just the basics.

Sorry about that Puurfectdoll, just men being men,... unfortunately.

UPDATE: In retrospect, picking human traffickers' as an example of criminals using cryptocurrency to launder money, was a poor choice, and, I think I misinterpreted Tech's post #15.
I STILL think cryptocurrency in it current state, is a short term fad.
