Yup, those dudes can fly....see how gently he put it down? I bet it wasn't any rougher than a landing with wheels.....amazing.
 
Is it even possible for planes to dump fuel? I always thought that was a myth...



Secondly, why the hell aren't there secondary options for planes wheels?. Would it not be worth the money considering a landing like this ruins your plane forever.
 
If I'm not mistaken, I believe they just circle the airport consuming fuel as I don't think they have fuel dump systems on modern airliners, besides, I would think you would want all the time you could to get the landing gear working again, if at all possible. Also, I dont think that environmentalists wouldn't be kosher with a fuel dump.

Also not all airplanes are equipped to dump fuel. The A380 that had a catastrophic engine failure leaving Singapore last year had to dump fuel. Different A380, but here is a video from on board of a plane dumping fuel:
