I love this show, I think I've watched every episode i could find online, sort of addicted to it now. These dumbasses don't even have their story straight. Totally unprofessional, lol.
I don't think they xray ALL luggage but alot and mostly if they suspect you, don't have a good cover story or you are coming from "drug" countries. That dude is lucky he didn't get caught in Dubai as I m sure he'd get the death penalty for such a large amount of heroin.
I've traveled from known "drug" countries many times and received the same type of checks in Canada as they do in Australia. Most of the times you are "profiled" before you even get off the plane, your luggage is sniffed by dogs before it comes on the conveyor belt. Often customs stands right at the exit door of the plane with dogs, then when the plane is clear they will run the dogs through it. If a dog picks up any drug smell from your seat, you got some questions to answer.
I noticed after my travels that my suitcase (those old solid, airtight sealed Samsonite) there was a tiny tiny drill hole in the body of my suitcase.
