They did this in British Columbia, Canada. Home of the Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver is playing Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals. How much business do you think Boston Pizza would get in Vancouver during the Hockey playoffs! If you said zero, collect your prize!

In spite of its name, Boston Pizza is a Canadian Company...

Founded in Edmonton, with its headquarters in Richmond BC... minutes away from the Canucks home stadium...

Yeah, I don't agree that it's a screw up at all....it's a great marketing ploy and I bet it works......

If they were smart they'd have all sorts of hockey related specials starting tomorrow. I know overall they advertise themselves as THE place to go to watch the game.....unfortunately I have found them to be quite overpriced for the food they serve....

Why would a Greek guy from Edmonton choose Boston as pizza heaven? I could understand if it was a clam chowder or fish joint.
I'd go with an Italian city or even Chicago first.
Same with Pizzaville, what's with the "it was a rainy day..." in a British accent? They don't have fish and chips or mushy peas or bacon butties on the menu! :bad:
