Botox?.

I hear that dentist now are allowed to give-inject this treatment and can be covered by OHIP. All you have to say is for tension headache or TMD treatment.

Anyone has experienced with Botox?. I am getting a few wrinkles and was thinking, why not. I would even pay cash.

I've been getting one wrinkle botoxed two or three times a year for six or seven years. Only once have I had any issue, and that was only an eyebrow spike, nothing medical.

However, I wouldn't have it done at the dentist. What you want is a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon.

I tried Botox a few years ago for migraines (didn't help) but I did see the effect on wrinkles on my forehead. Since the skin is basically paralyzed, you don't get wrinkles forming. Can't say it was an unpleasant experience, but it was a bit unnerving for the first while.

AFAIK it's totally safe, but not sure I would trust my dentist to stick the needle in my forehead! He has enough trouble finding the right tooth sometimes! :biggrin2:

Wrong there my dear friend. Been analyzing alternatives and Dentist is the best way to go. As long as they have their licence.

Nope. If you read my earlier post you'll see it didn't work for me. Nor several other migraine/severe headache sufferers I know.

As a matter of fact, I can't think of one person or one study showing botox helps headaches. You don't suppose....:no:
