LONDON — Bras do nothing to help support a woman’s breasts and could even be doing damage, research has found.

For years, women have been taught the virtues of a good bra in order to make the most of their assets and defy the pull of gravity.

Now a French study has claimed that breasts gain no benefit from underwear support and that women would in fact do better to go without.

I was very into "bra free" for a long time but I can say with certainty that once they pass a certain size your clothing sits better with one. That said I have heard of people who wear one 24/7 and that is not healthy either.

I've thought this for years - A doctor once told me that when women wear bras or sports bras, the pectoral muscles don't have to work as hard. It makes your breasts kind of lazy because the bra is doing all the work. I don't really know if it's true or not but I rarely wear bras....except when I'm escorting (men like the visual). And at 35, my breasts look no different than when I was 25. But to be fair, they are quite small.
