I was bullied for years and didn't know who or where to turn for help. My principal and parents told me to avoid them, well thanks for the lazy way advice. I took boxing and karate lessons and fought back. I advice all parents or those abused to do the same.

And I certainly don't expect to be reborn in a higher caste just to get my justice.
Nor could I look down on people born into poverty and gloat that they are being punished by Karma for wrongs committed in a past life. To me the entire concept of Karma is just an excuse for the oppression of the poor.

While you may be right, karma isn't just as simplistic as you've mentioned or as most believe it to be and believe in it or not, it is an interesting and complex ideology. I started studying it a while ago, but found it far to intricate and complicated. So when I say I hope karma gets them or follows them, I'm simply wanting that person to be penalized in some way....most who don't know much about Buddhism or Hinduism wouldn't know about Karma.

I feel sorry for the child and the parents of the injured child.
I agree that bullies are cowards however it is my experience that a lot of times the bully acts just like this in front of his own parents and they see nothing wrong with his or her behavior.
This entire problem exists because society has let these people become unaccountable for their children and their actions.
We have a situation at a prestigious private boys school in Toronto that now has 7 students facing criminal prosecution for assault and sexual offences on other students. I hope that a law suit is brought against the parents of these predators after the court trial.
