Great 60's movie on tonight, Bullitt, with Steve McQueen at 9pm, PBS. Car Chase scene!, need I say more?

that is the ultimate car chase scene...everyone has been trying to capture that ever since....now there is some debate as to whether vanishing point or bullit is the ultimate car movie but still, bulliet gets it because a) steve drove the mustang and b) there were no special effects used.....(I mean, they didn't actually kill the guys in the charger lol)

The original mustang used in the movie had to be hopped up and strengthened in order to be able to keep up to the charger...

This same mustang is rumored to be stored in a barn in upstate new york and is sitting there rotting. The owner was offerred $750,000.00 or something for it and wouldn't sell......

That movie gave the charger the moniker "the ultimate bad boy" car......imo, no other colour captures the image of the charger like black....any other colour just looks retarded imo........

I think the charger was tested in a wind tunnel and it had the same aerodynamics as a brick....i think it was also the first body style to hit 200 mph at daytona......

there are some really hot videos on youtube of hopped up chargers.....they are beasts....

(oh yeah, the famous wheelie scene with vin diesel in fast and furious....fake....in fact, the blower sticking out of the hood is fake as well...lol....)

Seen it numerous times and will see it again just for the car chase.

you know, besides the car chase, it isn't a bad movie either......one of the eeriest scenes is when they are doing the autopsy on the fake witness and the coroner is describing the damage......
