I'd be interested in hearing any ideas about making money off a blog.

I'm getting some professional advice on it myself, and so far I've found out that you can makes business deals with other site or blog owners to do a banner/link exchange, and you both make money every time someone clicks the link.

I'm also going to learn how to set up a donation link, so people can interac email transfer funds anonymously to pay consulting fees, or donate to support the work I'm doing.

I'm still looking into it and will report back when I find out more. I'm actually really excited about the potential in all this.

Most of the time bloggers make money from ads and affiliate programs. Take a look at TrafficJunky and a few other major ad sites...

Paypal can do donation links, but I believe that they charge a fee.
Google ads are popular with blogs that make money.
The trick is, to find a niche and build a blog around that

Can anyone else confirm this? I know many people in the industry have tried to use it before and had their accounts frozen, so if that's no longer the case, we should spread the word ...

Looks like a US bank is distancing itself from adult businesses too:

Porn industry fury as Chase bank 'closes accounts belonging to hundreds of adult film stars'

JP Morgan Chase has reportedly ordered the closure of hundreds of bank accounts registered to the names of people who work in adult entertainment, sparking outrage and confusion across the industry.

Chase bank, a subsidiary of U.S. giant JP Morgan Chase, began sending out letters earlier this month to the entertainers, according to CNBC, informing them their accounts will cease on May 11.

The letter, which has been posted on social media by several of the industry names involved, says the shut down was a result of a 'review' and apologizes for any inconvenience, however gives no further explanation.
