Not really, it would depend on whether or not the gf was one who required wining and dining before the main event. If you take a woman out to a reasonably priced restaurant, order drinks, salad, entre and maybe share a desert, with parking and tip you're pushing $200.00 easy. Heck, if you only go to a place like Boston Pizza and a Movie you'd be pushing $150.00.

It would also depend on whether she was an independant woman of the new millenium. If she was? BONUS she'll offer to pay for half of everything but those are few and far between. IME (and there's plenty of threads on this subject) many still feel that it is the guy who has to pay.

That's true....but taking the companionship out of the equation (which the op did when just comparing how much $$ he had in his wallet) my statement still holds true.

Now if you're going to start comparing all aspects of a gf/bf relationship to that with an sp then you have to also consider the following:

You'll never hear: do these jeans make my ass look fat from an sp, and if you DO hear it from your GF, you'll spend the next 12 hrs explaining exactly what you meant by your answer.

You'll never find tampons in your medicine cabinet with an sp.

You'll never find unmentionables hanging from your shower rod.

You won't ever have to meet her mother/parents or deal with family issues.

On the same note, you wont' ever have to deal with HER issues.....

If you forget her birthday, or late, or don't get the right card/flowers/gift you won't spend the next 3 weeks making up for it.

You won't ever have to share your meal with her or give her yours because she doesn't like hers.

Sure, you can spend 12 hrs sleeping in the same bed as her for free, but IMO anyone who pays someone $250.00 an hour to sleep, well, they ought to get their head examined lol. I mean, you could pay an sp for an hour to F you, then leave, then come back at 7:30 for another hour instead of the 6 in between.

Oh yeah, you won't ever have to worry about an sp stealing the covers, your pillow, or being too hot/cold/warm/light/dark or have her complain that you don't have her type of orange juice in the fridge (pulp/no pulp/unsweetened/sweetened)......

I have to say, I'd like to meet the women you guys are meeting. I have yet to be in a relationship with someone where it didn't cost me something.

I mean to simply SEE her it'll cost you gas money. If she lives downtown it'll cost you parking and that's just to SEE her. Now if you want to do anything then, there's more $$$.

Don't get me wrong, this is just something that occurs when you're involved and I don't begrudge it a bit but as I said, I have yet to be involved with anyone where it didn't cost me quite a bit to be in that relationship.

It's the mind games that turns me off of GFs or SOs. I also agree with Tboy, if the GF is of a high maintenance type lady, the dollars will quickly add up.
