Celebrity Bad Plastic Surgery Trivia

Peter Burns, singer for "Dead Or Alive" lived up to the unfortunate name chosen by his cruel parents.

I've always felt that, if you meet someone for the first time, and can tell that they had some plastic surgery, of any kind, they probably looked better, before. To me, someone would have had to have done some evil things, to no longer want to look at their own face in the mirror.

If it's a good nose job, or jug handle ears pulled closer to their head, that's a bit different. To me, that's no different than hygienic maintenance, like superfluous hair removal. When someone becomes unrecognizable as a result, however, it's the permanent consequence of one or more previously made bad decisions.

Maurice Boscorelli, in the late 1970's, I was at La Ronde, an amusement park in Montreal, on Ile Notre Dame, a man made island constructed for the purpose of hosting most of Man and His World, (Terre des Hommes), at Expo 67.

I saw a blonde woman, with a "Montreal 10" body, and a beautiful face, from the nose up. The area around her mouth, and her neck, was covered in scar tissue. That's what plastic surgery is supposed to be for - to correct mistakes that the patient did not make themselves, instead of to make the patient a mistake.

Fortunately for her, the man she was with saw only the parts of her face that were not disfigured, and in his eyes, those who turned their heads in disgust when they saw her from the front were the monsters. I was just an observer, taking notes, and went unnoticed by any of them, but I formed personal opinions about all of them.

.

Christ I was there the first summer it opened. Hot and uber crowded is all I remember.

Can't say I have any anecdotes though.

Oh and Bob you can call me Bosco or Mr. Bosco to make me feel impotent.

Did Kirk get ear extensions or are they natural?

Hmmmmmm

No, that was Spock, and they were added by a makeup technician, unless you mean the episode where they stole the Romulan cloaking device, which was made from Sargon's orb, and parts of Nomad.

I'm not certain if 'impotent' was a typo or not.

Bosco is the name of a dog I didn't own, but walked with frequently, so I wouldn't feel right, using his name to address your avatar. Bosco, of course, was also George Costanza's PIN, for his ATM card.

Not a typo. Just seeing if you are paying attention is all.
