If you suspected your spouse, child or employee was up to no good, would you want concrete proof? Would it help if you had access to every phone call, text and e-mail they sent?

If so, a new cell-phone spying application might be right up your alley.

Made by Retina Software and released this week, ePhoneTracker allows users to monitor every move made on a person’s mobile phone, from call info and text messages to websites visited, e-mails sent and received, new contacts added and even the GPS coordinates of the phone’s user.

Even deleted e-mails and texts can be retrieved by ePhoneTracker.

“Armed with this information, you will know the truth about what your spouse, child or employee does while you’re not around,” ePhoneTracker.com reads. “You will be able to confirm your suspicions and have peace of mind.”

The person doing the tracking receives e-mails of all actions performed on the targeted cell phone, while the person being tracked remains blissfully innocent (to the electronic spying, at least). No signs that he or she is being watched appear on the phone.

The software sells for $49.97. It is available for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, Windows Mobile 6 or Symbian OS 9.

I'm glad I have a cheapass payasugo phone  cuz my texts cannot be explained away hahaha

Only thing is, it has to be installed on the phone right? So to avoid this... don't let anyone use your phone.

And if you try to install it on someone else's phone, won't they say, "hey, waddaya doing with my phone?!"

How long can it take to install? A guy has to shower sometime.

Doesn't matter if it's a 20-minute shower or a 2-minute shower.

If she's installing this software, you're already long-time dead in the water.

This is just about splitting assets.

Just get a separate pay-as-you-go hobby phone.

If they have something to hide, only a complete idiot would NOT have it Locked/ Password protected... Making it impossible to load any software.

Just saying...

I don't think it's only idiots who get complacent after they've been getting away with something for a long time.

Also, one should never underestimate the sneakiness of a suspicious woman.

Welcome back SG! Wow, I could have a lot of fun with this software. :666:

Always use separate user accounts with strong passwords on computers, and password protect your phones and portable media devices. Bonus points if you can get decent encryption on all the mentioned devices. Also, make sure logging is turned off on your router, and that it has a strong administrator and wi-fi password. Always use strong passwords, and you mail and login passwords should be different, and you should have several other different passwords for 'other things'.

If somebody says "paranoid much?" just say back, "Yes.", "I'm A Geek", or "I'm the only one I want messing up my stuff." Since I'm SC only, I don't have a hobby phone, but that strikes me as a good idea in so far as it doesn't raise icky questions (and think of a plausible reason in advance).
