Trumps cabinet picks so far too, are disgusting. Steve Bannon, jesus, help us all, and the fact that Sara Palin, is even being considered.....:no: After his 60 mins interview, many of his voters should be ashamed! He now refers to the Clintons as good people....What happened to the she devil, the criminal, the "crooked Hilary? Now it's fine if the wall is a fence,lol, and I thought he was "going to empty the swamp". Yet he is filling his cabinet with lobbyist, after lobbyist. He must of meant he was going to empty the swamp into his cabinet.....lol. What a joke!

He's entitled to pick whatever advisors he desires, doesn't mean that he's going to follow everything they say. The WH Chief of Staff is the official advisory position, which is being manned by Reince Priebus, who is a serious person and has a lot of support on the Hill. Steve Bannon, is a more unofficial type political advisor, much like Valerie Jarrett was for Obama, or Karl Rove for Dubya. Think of Priebus as representing Trump's public thoughts, while Bannon represents his private thoughts. Every president needs private thoughts to deal with crises, and those private thoughts may not always be warm or politically correct, but they need to discuss them, and then find the best way forward, which then becomes the much more moderated public thoughts of Priebus.

They probably won't allow the first one, and there are a lot of procedures to go through for the second one. I don't see any problem with giving his kids advisory positions, as Hillary had similar clearances when she was First Lady, so she set the precedent.
What I do find unlikely to happen is that if his kids are acting as his advisors, and as his blind trustees, that might not be both allowed. He'll likely have to decide to choose which kids get blind trustee status and which ones get national security clearance.
