Let's say there's a guy who gets MSOG at a spa. No shower occurs in between finishes, because the girl wipes the guy down as standard practice. Therefore, traces of semen remain on the body and penis.

For Round 2, the girl applies more oil from the bottle, touches the body/dick, and reaches for more oil from the bottle (because repeated applications are common). Her hands are covered in oil and traces of semen. The traces of semen are transferred to the bottle.

I know sperm itself doesn't live long outside a moist environment, but repeat the scenario many times with countless appointments and you can see how the bottles have traces of semen from hundreds of men.

Worse, if the semen traces were fresh on the bottle and the girl touches herself (as is common), that's a risk. Traces of other semen are also transferred from the bottle to your dick.

Am I crazy?

Honestly the scenario is incomplete because I don't know if the staff wipes down or disinfects the bottles (and any surfaces coming into contact with the bottles) between sessions. My paranoia could very well be unfounded. After all, AT/PS has blacklights in every room and I don't think the bottles glow abnormally bright due to the presence of DNA.

Time to buy my own bottles of oil and bring them with me. I've brought lube before, but that gets wasteful real quick.

I see this quite a bit amongst too many hobbyists, there's been so much negative publicity about the filthiness of sex in general, and sex with sex workers in particular, that people are now paranoid about the silliest things. The concerns are overblown, and the media does a terrible job of disseminating information, too often biasing their coverage on the side of sensationalism, rather than real information. It's just hypochondria, pure and simple. And the problem doesn't just exist during sex services, but also during everyday activities. We don't let our kids play in the mud anymore because we imagine all kinds of diseases that they'll catch inside it. Antibiotics are so over prescribed that many don't work anymore. We all buy into the hype which is nothing more than corporate marketing trying to sell more products. Good point but also true that you can never wash your hands enough; I'm not concerned with STIs but just bugs that linger on door knobs, washrooms, etc. especially with the flu season just around the corner.

You can touch things without any problem, but it's when we then touch our mouths, nose or eyes, that it then gets an entry point. I have a habit of pushing elevator buttons with my knuckles, as if I accidentally touch mouth etc, then the virus isn't on my finger tips. Likewise pushing a door open or closed using elbow rather than hand can reduce risks somewhat. I also wipe Purell on my work keyboard and mouse occasionally given it's an office environment where risks are higher than at home. I can't build that many antibodies, although I'm definitely not anti body when it comes to touching females!!

There's all kinds of things in our environment that's dirty, and if we knew about them and obsessed about them, then we would put ourselves into a cocoon and never get out. But the point is that we don't know about them, or at least we don't consider them most of the time, and we're all still fine. In fact a lot of these bugs are doing us some good.

I agree that all the antibacterial stuff and efforts to sanitize lives is too much and actually detrimental. Hell, when I was a mechanic and didn't have a lot of time I would grab a sandwich and eat it with greasy hands while still working one with the other. Inevitably the baggie would slip and there would be grease and/or dirt on my food. I just ate it without realizing lots of times and my immune system is top notch, I rarely get sick and when I do everyone around me is sick longer and worse off than I am. No way to know if those lack of cleanliness at times helped or if I would be that way regardless, but it sure hasn't hurt. Nowadays mechanics wear gloves and if I still was a mechanic I would likely forget to take the gloves off to eat if I was in a hurry. I'll admit I do use gloves when I work on my car, not to prevent disease but to make cleaning my hands afterwards easier.

I see people squirting sanitizer before and after they push elevator buttons or open doors and shake my head. I think they are doing more harm than good. Yes, I will use knuckles to push buttons if I think of it and use my back to open a door if I am heading the way the door opens but only push the handicap button if I am carrying stuff.

I will wash hands often and always after I arrive at an SP even if we take shower, just to show her I am watching out for her. But the few times I have been made to use sanitizer before touching an SP were a total turnoff and usually resulted in a less than stellar visit. Common sense seems to be a thing of the past in a lot of ways. But to each their own, everyone has to be comfortable and makes choices based on that, can't fault anyone for what makes them feel secure. If an SP goes ovecommunity IMO then simply no repeat.

Yeah, those sanitizer dispensers are a pet peeve of mine too. I don't really feel they clean your hands any better than soap and water, and in fact, most of the time they clean it much worse.
